Fresh water question

We just purchased a 2018 Realm, while inspecting the coach before purchase I could have sworn I saw a fresh water filter in one of the bays. Prior to taking it on our first trip I wanted to find the filter to obtain the part number so I could replace it. Now I don’t see any fresh water filter anywhere, don’t know if I dreamed this or I can’t see the trees through the forest. Anyway can anyone tell me if it has a freshwater filter and where it is located?

Welcome to the forum.

Could it be that you saw a filter on the fill hose not mounted in the rig?

Did you buy from a private seller? If so, they likely removed the filter for use in their next RV!

check the owner manual. Many MH have a filter. The built in filters you remove and install a filter bypass plate on when you winterize the camper. That's what we have had in several camper for the kitchen cold water.

Look in the compartment that has the water pump in it or under your kitchen sink

We have a 2018 Foretravel Realm. The previous owner installed dual filters in one of the bays. However, there is a blue single canister filter on the left side wall in a cabinet underneath the kitchen sink.

And that filter should house a .5 micron filter [point 5 micron] for drinking water.

Interesting - the pre-Realm Foretravels had an ADC filter rather than this Realm owner's standard 10" filter housing for the drinking water.

Realm owner would be advised to install a KDF-GAC combo or similar anti-cyst filter for drinking water.
