Microwave removal

Does any one know how to remove a sharp microwave from a 1998 U320 Foretravel 36 foot motorhome? I cannot find the top bolts or screws. Are they underneath the floor of the compartment over the microwave?

Welcome Jericho to irv2.
Most micros I have seen will have three long screws above the front of micro. You may have to lift some fabric on floor of cabinet above it to find.
Once they are removed the micro will hinge off a back plate on wall behind it.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.

Can't speak about motor homes, but our 5er microwave had 2 screws hidden under that compartment bottom. I had to use a 1" hole saw, turned by hand since there is no room for a power tool, to cut access holes in the floor panel. The screw bottom end may be seen by removing the trim above the microwave door. I estimated close enough to remove the top screws through the cut holes. Since we use the non-skid rubber matting in all compartments, the now-unneeded holes are unseen.
Our microwave now has a new blower motor installed and is working great. I located a motor by calling locally-owned appliance stores until I found one that salvaged used motors from discarded ovens, dishwashers, etc.

Take of your top front cover--you'll have to open you door-- there should be two #1 philips screws hold the over on. You then should see two long 7/16" bolts 7/16 coming down through an overhead access panel--on the bottom there are two long #3 phillips screws that are angeled up at approximately 45 degrees--these long screws attach the mic to the wall. Hope this helps.
Had to pull mine to get it fixed just last week.--I used a small wheel jack that I put on top of my oven whith some boards to hold the mic from falling and allso use the jack to put the mic in place--otherwise it's a two man job.

Funny you asked as I just did mine today. There are no top bolts to remove like in a normal home install. It's actually pretty easy to do.

Open the door and remove the plastic deflector (three screws) once removed you will see 8-10 screws screwed through the microwave frame into the upper cabinet.

Those screws hold it to the upper cabinet and the metal bracket in the back holds the rear like a normal micro install.
