Radiator worries

Hi, i’m looking at a 2000 Foretravel, 36 foot U320 and i am wondering about the rear side radiator, after 20 years of services are they still good, i long does the engine radiator last ? And btw what’s about the gen radiator too ?
Best regards

Get an inspection by someone that is familiar with Foretravels.Pay close attention to the bulkheads.

The radiators (both main engine and the gennie) in time do wear out and will need re-coring.. Most likely that has already been done..BUT.. inspect for "weep" leaks and overall conditions.
Replacement/repair is rather expensive.. ours (2002) ran $5,000 for a re-core, all in.. including the air charge cooler. Work was done by Cummins in Coburg, OR

Being a 2000 model, You may also have to replace the fuel lines...no big deal but time consuming.
Foretravels are built like the proverbial brick outhouses and will out last You if taken care of..
Good luck

Do a litmus test for acidity.
If OK, then check for how fresh the antifreeze is and closely check for leaks/weep points.
Antifreeze that has gone acidic can eat away the solder. Larger radiators have a higher solder to tin ratio so are more susceptible to acid. High tin content to solder ratio protected the soldered joints but weren't as flexible so ratios were changed.
