12 volt problem

Need some help. I have a 2009 Prairie Schooner 5th wheel. Tried to fire the hot water heater and nothing. As I was checking the 3 amp fuse it was good but when I pulled it out a red light came on above. There are 10 12 volt fuses inthe panel for various things and when I pulled each one out the red light above that fuse never came on, just the one for the water. Any answers would be great. Thanks Brent

Hmmm, well .... if your water heater runs off of propane, then I'd first check to make sure that I've opened the propane supply tank!

When a fuse in a panel with led's blows the light comes on to help you identify which fuse is bad. It sounds like all of the other circuits were open; maybe turned off but some should have still lit up the light as they do not have an on and off switch. Verify that you have good 12 vdc, turn on the water heater and while outside verify that the ignitor is sparking at the burner. If not check the connections on the DSI control board for good connections. Pull off the quick connect and reconnect to scrub off any corrosion or resistance. If you still do not get it to fire up and it is an Atwood brand, check to be sure the thermal fuse is not open from a flame roll out problem. Give us the make and model of your water heater for more assistance. Thank you.
