1986 gulfstream classic

My wife and I have been kicking around buying a RV and came across an older A class. It's a 1986 Gulfstream Classic 28ft. It has a 454 engine with 60k miles. It has newer fridge and interior is in great condition. Has pull out awnings, etc. generator works good. Are these good RV's ? Should I keep looking? Any reconditions or advice would be good. What's the value of an RV like this? Nada has it for $2500 but I haven't seen one even close to that price, all in the 5-6k range. Thanks in Advance

If you are happy with the floor plan (bathroom, shower and bed fit you) and it feels like it will meet your way of using the coach and you are serious about making an offer; I would recommend you have a qualified RV technician go through the coach and inspect it for any issues. Get the chassis and tires checked by a qualified truck mechanic and ask owner for all maintenance records. Then make an offer you are comfortable with; maybe start at the NADA low retail value if everything is good.

I bought a 1990 that was a wet wreck. Now it's a dry, mostly renovated and getting there. But for another 10,000 I could have bought a Diesel pusher in much better shape. I suggest you save up and keep looking.
