ok my stepson bought this 94 gxl and he had it plugged into my 30 amp on my building and he had most stuff working,except the microwave.well it was plugged in for about 4 hrs and he went out and it had no power.checked power into coach and its good,so go under the bed and there is a 6 breaker panel .pull the cover and a white ground wire was burnt off.so cleaned it up and touched it to the buss bar and it threw an arc like a dead short.so shut off all breakers and touched the white and no arc so started flipping breakers and when i get to number 5 i get the arc.so 1-4 and 6 no arc trace wire to number 5 and it goes to a transformer right under the panel.so i have 2 questions.1.what does that transformer do and 2.as we have no power anywhere is there another panel somewhere that maybe the main breaker is popped?

White solid wires are normally neutral wires. Ground wires are bare copper or green. There should be 2 buss bars, one ground and the other neutral. Be sure you are connecting to the right one.

A picture would be helpful of course. Best guess on the transformer is part of the power convertor. May be there to reduce 120 volts down to 12 volts. It would feed a rectifier to change AC to DC. Ultimately charging batteries feeding house 12 volt circuits.

i will have to look a little closer.there is a buss bar on the left side vertically and one side to side across the top.the white wire was on the side one and it was burnt off,i will have to look tomorrow to see what the ones to the top buss bar look like.

"CODE" you are correct.i ended up cutting off the bad end of that white wire and cleaned the buss bar on the side,also the rest of the whites looked like they got hot so cleaned them up also.there was another big probably 10 gauge wire into the buss and it also looked like it got hot so cut the bad off and replaced,throw number 5 breaker and all the 12v lights came on so that burnt white wire was to the converter.
so now to just get his water leak figured out and he should be good to go.
