Does anyone or has anyone changed out a front heater core in a 1998 gulfstream tourmaster before. I just noticed that my windows are fogging up and then it just started leaking beside the drivers side next to the gen set. I can't see how you would get to the core to replace it. I also have a problem with the horn/airhorn system, I can get the reg horn to work, but when I switch it to air hon it does not work the air horn.

I hope that someone has dealt with these problems and can help us find a book or website that may help in fixing these problems. I am fare with auto problems and use to work i that field but this is something else.

Thank you for all your time.

wendwest, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and we hope to be of any help we can offer. You should be able to access the heater core from the front hood area of the coach. As you look at the generator it will be to the upper left side. It will be in a black plastic box with many screws around the perimeter and a half shell can be remove to replace the coil. Good luck and keep us posted.

My tourmaster does not have a hood, the generator is motor driven and only comes out part way. As for the upper right side or under the drivers dash board is covered in black plastic foam. I can hardly see a black cover, but could not get to it from under or from within that area. Is there another way to get to it.

thank you
Robbie

Robbie, slide the generator out. Look in the front cap area for the firewall of the coach. Look to the left and up. You should see the heater coil and air cond. evaporator housing I spoke of mounted on the firewall under the passanger windshiled, outside.
