1999 Tourmaster 8403 opinions?

Trying to decide between a 1999 8403 model with 52000 miles on the 450hp cummins, or a 2007 Alfa Sooo Long that has a 24 wall slide but not nearly as well appointed. We will be fulltiming with two small children. Thinking of converting the walkin closet to a little bunk room fir the kiddos. Thoughts? Is the Tourmaster spacious enough to fulltime with a family?

We have a 1999 8404 with 2 slides. It has a fair amount of room If I was F/T with kids I would definitely want a bunk configuration. How old they are may have some bearing from others with more experience. I swapped out the Table and chairs for a convertible flexsteel dinette. It works really nice but is a small pain to pack away every morning and fold out every night. We have only spent a week at a time in ours.

Typically it is just DW, myself and 15 yr old DD. Two times we have had 4 people....I was the only male. Let me just say allow for lots and lots of primp time.

I can't speak for the Alpha, but am really happy we have all the extra bells and whistles on the TM. The 325 HP in ours is ok, but I would like a 450.

Be sure to let us all know which way you decided to go.

Do lots of homework on the Alpha! Buy the Tour Master.

Thanks for the opinions and thoughts. I ended up going with a 2008 Alfa gold. Has the 400 ISL cummins, only 8000 miles, lits of bells and whistles. The biggest selling point of the Alfa for us is the 7.5 ft ceilings. They are amazing!
