2005 Gulf Stream Crescendo 8356 *CONFUSION*

GS owners please help! I'm looking at possibly buying a used '05 GS Crescendo 8356, but after looking at the rig and looking at the '05 brochure there seem to be some discrepancies. First, I'm told the rig is a 2005, but it's got the paint scheme of one pictured in the 2006 brochure. Also, both the 2005 and 2006 brochures say the units come with the 7.5 Quiet Diesel generator, but this one has a Guardian Generac 7500. Are discrepancies like this common with MH manufacturers? Or was it common with GS? I'm starting to question the purchase now. I'm told it has a Freightliner chassis, but if it's actually an '06 it would have a Workhorse chassis per the brochure. But I don't know what to believe now. And is there a way to actually confirm what it actually does have? What gives?

It is almost always for sure the chassis model year will be a hear older than the coach. Also equipment is subject to change and could have even been ordered differently than the standard equipment. A VIN will give you the information on the chassis. You will want to make certain the generator is not an LP gas model as it would be a fuel hog. Sometimes coaches get ordered a lp gas generator because of the cost savings over a diesel. Have the seller send you a complete equipment list of model and serial numbers. Good luck and keep us posted.
