Awning wind settings

We have never had an automatic awning until our new purchase, and it's exciting not to have to get up at 3 in the morning and take it down. My question is: What is the best wind setting MPH for the sensor. What do owners set their sensor at. I don't want it to be going in at a light breeze, but I also have no idea what strength wind it takes to rip one off (since I've always got out of bed to retract our old one). Thanks in advance.

I dont have a wind sensor on my awning, it's only out when we are out with it and if it feels too windy I put it in. Only takes 30 secs and a push of a button to be in or out

Keep ours on lowest, 12 MPH I think. There are times a gust will sent it up, BUT, sometimes it won't!
i have found a very w-i-d-e range of sensitivity in the 12 MPH setting. Not wanting to replace the thing, i jus leave it on the lowest, been that way for a couple years, not lost an awning yet, and, it has rolled up a few times too...
Have Fun!
