BT Cruiser Slide Operation

I'm coming from a Newmar Class A gasser which has their own procedure for slides, based on their slide mechanisims which are unique to Newmar, especially on the gassers. The net is they don't care which you did first as long as certain conditions were true, but most of the time extending first was, more often than not, the way to go.

These are not Newmar slides so what I would like to know is what were you told is the correct sequence - Level first or Extend first?

Thanks for any input.
