Cruisers with the tankless water heater

Coming from the usual 6 gallon wh, curious about the tankless. How well does it work in "normal weather, cold weather, how long does it take for the water to get hot.

Reading the literature it seems that if you try to limit water usage, the unit may not heat the water. Is this accurate? What's your overall opinion of the wh.

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks,

they have a flow sensor in them so if you try to trickle water it may not pick up the flow and never fire. They get hot pretty quick. Once the cold water is purged out of the line, the water is pretty much the temp you set it for.
It will take a few seconds more in cold weather since the water in the lines/tank will be colder than summer water temps. Not that much, really. Once the cold is purged from the faucet line, it keeps up pretty well regardless of 40 degree water vs 70+ Honestly never timed it.

The tankless appears to be a good idea, especially for those that are hooked to gray/sewer connections. A lot of hot then not hot then hot then not hot if trying to conserve water. We'll get used to it.
