Does it get things cold, how long to get ready to go out of storage, have you had issues with it draining battery (ies) when not plugged in.
Thanks for any input on this.

I have a 12v fridge. It is bigger and it cools more evenly like a residential refrigerator. It has a compressor, like a residential model from what I can tell, and burns quite a bit more electricity than your gas model, but is still pretty darn efficient. It takes a few hours to get cold like a residential refrigerator does, if it has been turned off in storage (especially out in the sun). Mine runs much of the day in the heat but it still cycles off if the door has been closed for awhile. Of course, like any fridge, it will cycle the more you open and close it. It has a night mode if you want it to basically shut down during sleep since you likely won't be opening and closing it at night. It has much more room inside than the similar gas/electric model that uses the same space. We really love that!
When it cycles on it burns about 5 to 7 amps while on then it cycles off (at 12 volts). You definitely need good batteries if you plan to boondock. It can burn 50ah of 12v battery bank in a day or more if it is really hot. Less if it is cold outside in winter.
I prefer it now that I have owned it for nearly a year.
I would not go back.
Hope that helps
