Electric Refrigerator- Securing Doors

My BTCruiser has a 12v refrigerator and it works well. Typical box with freezer on top, fridge on bottom, no door handles. For those that may have a similar residential style unit, how do you secure the doors while in transit? Twice now when taking a firm left the contents come flying out the fridge and freezer.

As a stop gap, a bit of black (color matching) duct tape does an adequate yet tacky job.

Thanks for help

Tom, I installed this one on a 10 cf. Whirlpool Residential:

10 minute installation. Watch the instructional video.

Also, I use tension rods across all the shelves to keep the items on the shelf.

Have a small 2 door fridge in a converted trailer I use as a toy hauler The doors are reversible so simply use the available hinge mount to screw a piece of 1/4 x 3 trim wood against the door faces when traveling. The wood goes in a drawer when not in use.

I also use the Qdos refrigerator lock. Installed it 5 years ago and it has worked flawlessly over a lot of rough roads. Perfect for any 2 or 3 door fridge.
