Generator wont shut off

Hopefully someone can help me. The other week had to start my Gen to run the AC units when ready to shut down, the gen would not shut off. Tried the main switch again. Nothing. Had to do into the gen and pulled the fuse to make the gen shut down. It happen again then next night. Gen won't shut down with switch on dash. Have not had any problems with gen till now. Wire to switch looks good and this is the same switch I use to start the gen.

Gas or diesel? My first guess would be a defective on/off switch.

would there be a safety setting? you said you were running your a/c.
did you turn off the a/c and any other loads and let your genny idle for a few minutes before shutting it off?

Forgot to mention it is a diesel. Also the gen has a start and stop switch on it and the stop switch didn't work also. So both switches don't shut off the gen. Think maybe sticky relay??

Pull the 10 mm bolt on radiator cap access panel, remove panel and check the 7.5 amp fuses on the back side.

Don't know what is going on. Checked gen today and everthing is fine. Started ok, went under load then shut down ok. Did it twice and both times gen stopped. Wondering if I have a spook?

Sounds like a loose connection. Check both ends of circuit.
