Tell us about your Gulf Stream RV. It can be a towable or motorized. If you have photos post them for others to see. Let us know when you bought it and how you like it.

Thanks for setting up this sub-group. I have found a lot of useful info. on the IRV2 forum so far.

We have a "new to us" '98 Sun Voyager Bus - Platinum Edition. We looked around and found a fairly good deal. We flew the whole family out to pick it up and drive it back home.

Have you seen the movie RV? That was part of our return trip. We had a decent rest of the trip and after a few modifications & repairs, the coach is starting to shape up.

I ended up replacing all three air bag leveling valves, both windshields, the toilet, water pump, serpentine belt, ac belt, drive shaft u-joints, Pos-A-Loc coach door hold-open, various hinges and struts, repaired the rally kit, replaced the tank slide valves and have a few more to go before I am comfortable with the condition.

I do like the extra torque of the big block C8.3 liter engine and the 6 speed Allison trans is velvet smooth.

I will start posting some pics after the holidays of my mods/repairs and trips.

Thanks again for setting up this group as the GS Owners Forum is min. active these days.

Ken, it sounds like you are well underway at reconditioning the Sun Voyager. Looking forward to the pics; when you post them, let us know.

I was going into town and this morning and saw our coaches twin!

I didn't think they (GS) made many of the Platinum edition bus versions in the same teal green scheme but there they were.

Maybe they are members of IRV2, maybe not. If I wasn't in a hurry this A.M., I would have turned around and tried to pull them over for a chat.

Anyway, I just thought it was funny.

BTW, there were/are lots of nice DP's coming back home from Thanksgiving vacation and I am sure the traffic will get extreme by this afternoon.

I know what you mean, yesterday when I was coming home (MH) from work, I passed by a 2000 Scenic Cruiser. It was a different paint scheme than our but you don't see a lot of them around. It is funny when you see one like yours.
