Question Hot Water

Hi to all.......I have a 2006 Gulf Stream and having problems not getting
hot water. It's always just slightly warm. Any feedback is welcome. Tks!

If it has a winterizing bypass it might not be shut. Check the valves behind the heater. Take a pic and post if you don't know which way the valve go.

If you have an outside shower, make sure that it is turned off (not just the button on the wand)

In that picture it looks like it is set for the bypass position. Is that correct?

Yep that is correct. And there are many versions of this plumbing so this is just an example on what to look for. This particular plumbing can't short circuit the hot to make warm, it's either cold or hot. Many versions of this bypass can tho

This version is common and if you leave that center valve on, it will produce warm water not hot out of the spigot.

What kind of water Heater? Operating on propane, electric or diesel?

Most modern propane also have an electric element and if that's the case, what happens if you use the alternate method?
