Which one you looking to buy? I’d think if buying used most of the quality issues will have been dealt with by the PO. I have a 2025 5255B and my initial impression is Gulf Stream needs to hire a new team of quality control staff. But then I said that about my brand new 2016 Newmar.

As far as the BT I encountered water connections not tight and leaking, propane gas lines leaking, trim pieces not painted, loose and coming off. Found electrical wires passing through metal holes that shorted as there was no grommet to keep the insulation from rubbing. The guys responsible for sealing the windows, doors, must have been new to using silicone sealant and got it everywhere. Most of this is easy to deal with but should have been right when it shipped to the dealer. Dealer should have caught it, but no.

I haven’t had the thing long enough to know how it will hold up over time. I am still optimistic that it will be just fine.

2024 5245 BT Cruisor

I'm not very impressed with my (over $100k) purchase. This is my 7th new RV so I'm aware there are little foibles with each purchase.

My less than one month old purchase experienced the GFI in the bath tripped with the first use, won't reset, so no power in bath, kitchen, nor outdoor plugs.

Today I arrived back to find the kitchen sink had fallen into the cupboard below. It was just glued/caulked on with nary a bracket nor screw to be found.

I've written to the company to let them know of my issues & dissatisfaction. I live in this thing so putting it in a shop is not an option.

I'm working around the problems, but I shouldn't have to.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

After owning the 2024 5245 BT Cruiser for 35 days, and having just 2745 miles on it I traded it in for a different RV from a different Brand. I lost almost $20,000 in the trade and it was so worth it!

The BTouring unit I bought has a full wall slide and didn't come with levelers. When the slide was fully extended the chassis listed severely toward the slide side. I wrote Gulf Stream and their response was the unit wasn't spec'd for levelers, so end of story.

It got to a point (after about 2 weeks of ownership) where I didn't extend the slide at all except at night when it went out about 6" so I could sleep on the 60" width of the bed. I'm short but not that short!

As I was on my way back to the dealer I spent the night in a Cracker Barrel parking lot. I checked the locks before I did the 6" slide extend & went to sleep. I woke to a cold breeze...the door had popped open in the middle of the night! That was at least the 4th time the door had popped in the night due to what I believe is the twisted frame.

At the dealership I asked the finance person what would happen to the obviously defective RV. "It'll go right back on the lot". Apparently there are no morals in the RV industry. I turned it in on a Thursday morning and checked the dealership web site daily hoping I was wrong....alas I was correct. The following Sunday it was being advertised used and in "Flawless Condition". I assume they just fixed the fallen sink & the GFI, & drove it to the display lot.

Repeat: BUYER BEWARE!!!
