Leveling system question.

Afternoon everyone. It's been a while. Last time I was on here, I was preparing to leave for my trip around the country and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! Getting ready for another trip and have an issue with my leveling system. The control board starts blinking and nothing works. I found a link to reset the system which works fine but I want to get it fixed. I read that there is a rebuild kit for the control board of this system but can't find where to get it. Here's a link to the system my rolling home has. Any help and direction is greatly appreciated! TIA!!

Lippert , ( LCI ) bought up Power Gear , did you check the LCI web site for the repair kit?

I was able to contact them today. I was told that it's obsolete from what he could find but was going to look into it and contact me back. Will share what I find out and hopefully it wont be too long. Thanks!

You're not going to like this but... There are several threads about that controller. In a nutshell neither the microprocessor nor the solid state relays inside it are manufactured anymore and thus no repair of it is possible. Here is a long thread about it... https://www.gsowners.com/forums/show...light=140-1179 its a page or 2 in. Additionally, I am still tinkering with building my own and a couple other folks have cobbled together a working switch/relay "dumb" button arrangement that will operate the jacks. This is my thread... https://www.irv2.com/forums/f84/powe...er-479449.html

Getting time is my biggest issue since I still work full time and have a myriad of issues I am fixing in our rig.

Thanks for all the information. I did find a place that say they can repair it. Lippert still has not gotten back to me even though I was told they would, right away. Surprise....
Here is the link to the place that says they can repair it.

If for some reason they are unable to repair it, I wonder if my extended warranty through Good Sam will cover the cost to replace the whole system?

I, and some others, would be really interested in knowing your outcome with them. I know for sure the microprocessor and the solid state relays on the board inside the unit are no longer manufactured. So, they either have a large back stock of those parts or have sourced some pin compatible replacement.

Will absolutely share the outcome! Going in the mail on Friday and they should have it on Monday. They said a 10 to 15 day turnaround.

Was notified today that my touchpad has a "bad micro" and sounding like it isn't repairable. Going to be talking with the tech in the morning. Called Lippert again and they were zero help. Will post what the tech has to say in the morning. Looking like the only option might be a whole new system. Was told $3 to $5k just for the parts....

I guess the pad is dead from the bad micro and no fix available. At least I can use it from resetting the system each time the key is turned on but not sure how long it will do that. I've been checking wrecking yards around the country without any luck so far. How is the system going that you have been tinkering with? Looking like my only option is to purchase a new leveling system if I can't find a used pad. Anyone have a new system they would recommend or have heard good things about that wont break the bank?

Still pending free time to get moving on it. My pad still works so its not a priority, unlike my engine cooling fan clutch failure. There is this post that might get you going a bit more with some relays and buttons... https://www.irv2.com/forums/f59/powe...ad-470883.html

Thanks for the info! Will contact him for sure if needed. FORTUNATLY, I was able to locate another pad from a wrecking yard and it's on its way, thank you Lord! Prayerfully, it will work as it should as there are no refunds. They said they tested it and worked fine. I received my old one back and it still works as long as you go through the reset process every time you turn the key on. Now I just need to research on if there is anything I need to do with putting in a different touchpad as far as setting limits or anything goes. Seems I read something about that somewhere.

Received the touchpad today and it works great! Thank you Lord! Called all across the country and finally found it in Kentucky.

I found this site the other day. The pictures they have of the wrecked Gulf Stream motorhomes showed the same Power Gear control. I saw it on a couple rigs so maybe if someone else needs one they can contact this site. I originally found it by looking up Gulf Stream parts, trying to find a replacement dinette light. Hope it helps someone.
