Onan 7500kw converter

My Onan will not start, not even turn over.
Cummins shop says I need a new converter.
If the generator ran but did not produce a 12v charge to the house batteries then I would agree, but what does the converter have to do with the diesel not turning over? Interstate marine batteries have been checked out. Fuel pump clicks when I try to start the unit.

They may mean it needs a new Inverter.

Not sure if yours is the type, but some of them have magnets in next to the rotating parts. The magnets break free and jam it up. Once that happens it tears things up and a replacement is needed.

Or it might be a wasp nest, mouse nest had locked up?

I can assure you that you DON'T have a 7500 Kw generator.

The code indicated that a new converter/inverter was needed. Cummins service center received new unit from Omaha overnight and was swaped out by 11am.
