Plug 50 amp motorhome into 30 amp receptacle

I am about to buy a N2M, GS Class A,. I have a 30 amp receptacle outside my garage that I had wired to plug my MH's into. It dawns on me now though, they have all been 30 amp and my new MH is 50 amp. What do I need to do to make sure all is compatible? Just an adapter?

Thnx in advance

A dog bone adapter is all you will need to use 30A in your MH.

I did that before I went ahead and wired up a 50 amp. The 30 adapter worked fine other than that I found I could only run one of my two rooftop AC units at a time.

Correct.

A 30 amp male to 50 amp female ADAPTER is all you need. Any RV store. Do not get a cheap/small gauge adapter.

And, yes, unless everything is perfect, indeed one A/C is all you can run. Perfect very rarely happens!

Keep in mind a 30A receptacle has one 120v leg rated for 30 amps. A 50A receptacle has two 120v legs EACH rated for 50 amps. Because of this your power use is limited to 30 amps total instead of 100 amp total (2 x 50 amps). If just running one AC and not allot of other power you should be fine but just keep in mind you will have 70 amps less available.
