I live in a 2005 Gulf Stream Independence 36' motor home. IMHO, Gulf Stream's products are middle of the road. Definitely not high end, but decently put together and definitely not junk. Mine has a Ford gas engine. I have not had any problems with since I moved in in December of 2011 and have proceeded to put 10,000 miles on it since then.

Right now I'm getting ready to have some warranty work done on the levelers - one of them is not holding it's position. At the end of my travels this past winter the furnace started making weird noises, also covered by the extended warranty I bought when I bought the coach.

This coach was not designed for fulltiming. The holding tanks are only 35 gallons each, the propane tank only holds 12 gallons, the basement storage is not great, there are only 2 12 volt batteries to power the coach.... but the floor plan suits me and I've managed to deal with everything else.
