Steering Damper almost fell off

My neighbor just had his new BT Cruiser in the shop for generator work and the tech told him while troubleshooting the GenSet problem he spotted the steering damper hanging down and not connected on one end. When he got home I took a peak and sure enough it was. The driver side connection was missing the nut, rubber and washer. When I took it off to get the parts I noticed they didn't use nylock nuts but a regular nut and a cheap tin made fastener. Simple fix with new rubber and nylock nuts. You might wan to take a peak at your steering damper
