05 CC Inspire Street Side Slide Shear Pin

One of the pins broke on th street side slide. Anybody have a part number and where to order ?

Don't need a shear pin as you can replace with a bolt. Hopefully Floyd with the Inspire will answer up

Give Kevin Waite a call. I order 4 of them from him. You need to keep that slide ramp clean and use Silicone Lubricant - Dry Version.

Many people say you can just put any bolt in place. It's not advisable and could cause more grief. Order the correct bolts from Kevin and things should work better.

also make sure you torque to spec. How tight the bolt is determines strength

I have seen standard bolts break. Even a grade 8 bolt broke on me.

The square tubing hole was honed out which help to wear out the bolt.

My solution was to cut off the end of the square tubing and drill a new hole, then I used a hardened clevis bolt. Here is a picture. The washers were necessary to cover the gap between the cotter pin and the tubing.
