1994 Affinity Dash Backlighting

So I am trying to rehab my dash panels as they have become brittle over the years. As part of that process, I would like to replace the old stick on 12v backlighting for individual labels. Any idea where I can source these? LED would be preferable but not required. Thanks.

I’ll keep searching. Starting to rethink the whole dash. 26 years later and the panels are developing significant breaks. Thinking I might try cutting some polycarbonate panels and covering them with vinyl or carbon fiber. [emoji2373]

Talk to Ponsford, he redid his and they look great.
He went with illuminated switches but has not found a solution for the backlights as of yet...

I have used a laser engraver to duplicate switch labels that can be backlit or stuck on above the switch. Check around to see if you have a company near you. You could also try using vinyl. There are some very high quality and durable vinyls out there. Perhaps a sign shop. I don’t know your exact application, just a couple of suggestions. Depending on your decision to to fix vs rebuild a laser arcane also cut out a replacement section of dash.
In the attached photo I removed most of the area of my original dash, laid out my items, put text in place ( the plastic is called ‘reverse engrave’ so the text area remains flat and is able to be lighted), then cut out the areas for the item seen on the plastic.
Hope this helps

That is an option. I’ll have to search around for some shops to see if I find something local. Could you give me more info on the engraver and the material you used? Thanks.
