1999 40' Intrigue AC

We have a 1999 40’ Intrigue and need to find a replacement “Over the road” A/C clutch and compressor. Does anyone have a current cross reference part numbers for these items?

What engine is in your coach , some times the dash A/C compressor is installed by the engine manufacturer , other times the chassis manufacturer, bolts it on .

Yes, but only 2 pulleys, I do not have that third tension pulley in the middle.

Ok you have the pivoting compressor mount for belt tension, they change the belt tension set up about as often as I change socks.

Ok , if you have no tags for a P/N on the compressor , we'll have to do some digging.

Sorry about all the markings on this photo , I have figured out how to put them on just not how to take them off.

Take some pictures of it and go to your local automotive air conditioner repair place and let them match it up. There is nothing special about the compressor or clutch.
Better yet, take it off and take it with you and say give me one of these.
When you do replace it, make sure to replace the dryer also

thank you for all the feedback, someone on a FB group gave me Comfort Air Inc as a supplier for our A/C units. I am going to give them a call today and see if they can cross refrance my number.

You have the same set up as I have on my '99 Allure. Get the model number and look it up on the internet. It's a very common compressor and pricing will jump all over the place. As stated before replace the dryer especially if the system is going to be open for a long time or if you're in a damp climate.
If you're doing you own repair be sure to evacuate it down in the mid 500 micron range or lower if possible and don't hurry that part of the repair. Longer is better in this case.
Good luck....

If you are going to replace the Compressor you will be admitting air to the system.

So, just dismount the compressor and look for the model info. Mine was on the top back.

The order it online.

I used Buy Auto Parts in San Diego in 2018 for my compressor. $130

You will be breaking the lines so you should also replace the dryer

Have you worked around refrigeration equipment before? If not be careful as it is pressurized and requires additional processes when changing the compressor. Also as stated before change out the dryer.

Good luck and let us know how the repair goes.
