2000 Allure ride height question

I went under my coach yesterday to check my ride height. The manual I have says the measurement should be 10 13/16" from the bottom of the frame rail to the bottom of the air bag mount. My measurement is around 7". I have the Neway AD200 rear end.

Do I have the wrong info? I couldn't be that far off?

John,
You are correct as the rear should be at least 10 3/8, and less than 11 13/16 as necessary to keep the front level. This measurement is from the bottom of the frame rail to the bottom of the air spring piston. This is from the rear side of the air bag.

Not sure how your only getting 7". Is the coach on level ground? Have you measured the front? It should be dead on at 17 3/4 center bolt to center bolt on your shocks.

They give you a range for the rear as it is important that the front is level or within 1/16 of each side.

You should always measure all four corners before making any adjustments, that way you know how to proceed, as changing one ride height valve will also change the measurement on the others.

Brett,

I had it on my street in front of the house. Maybe with the crown of the road things are not as flat as I thought. I checked the front and it was off as well, so your theory is probably correct.

thanks for the help!
