Pro's: You could get a BluTooth option Surge Protector, that you can easily see the status of the power coming in from Shore Power; The ATS, has mechanical contacts (THUNK) lugs, that can deteriorate and cause ATS failure. So it is a 'wear item'.
Con's If it ain't broke... ; Costs;
One other consideration, IF you have room in the space (We did in our 04 Allure, and also for out 07 Magna.) to add a Hughes Autoformer... You could use that as both the EMS and get the Stepped Up Power when in low voltage situations. The new Hughes have modularized EMS components. So it it takes 'hit' during a power surge (As EMS's are designed and supposed to do.), you now do not need to replace the full Hughes Autoformer, just that module gets replaced.
One thing I did not like on where CC mounted the TRC SurgeGuard in our Allure, was you had to stick your head in the closet, and try to peak in thru a plastic access cover, to see the health of your Shore Power via the Idiot Lights. So having the Bluetooth option, was worth it to me to make modifications....
No right or wrong

! Just choices...
Best to you,
