2000 CC Intruge speedometer and odometer not working

Hi All, and Happy 4th of July !!
I have a 2000 CC Intrigue that I purchased 6 months ago. The speedometer and odometer stopped working. I checked under the front dash and found a loose connection. Apparently that wasn't the problem. Before it stopped working, it would jump erratically until it finally stopped.I've been told from CC that it could be a sensor, and it may need cleaned or replaced, but they didn't tell me where to look and what it looks like. I'm thinking somewhere on my Allison transmission or on one of the tires.

Thanks

Steve

Pull out the schematics and chase the wiring down. There is a wiring diagram for the dash area and then on into the chassis. I do know that there isn't any sensors for the odometer or spedo on any of the tires
