2000 wired camera won't stay plugged in

Our 2000 Country Coach Intrigue camera system has lost the ability to stay pugged in. Repair facility suggest he can eliminate plugs and solder all the wires together or put in wireless Voyager System.

Not sure which way to go. The labor to solder the existing wires would be as much as the new hardware.

Really didn't want an extra monitor on the dash or windshield that the wireless system would require. Wouldn't be bad if I could find a "bean bag" mount for the monitor like I have for my Garmin GPS.

Any suggestions??

Not clear on where it’s becoming unplugged - but if a Molex or S - style connector, how about a dab of hot melt glue?

If connectors are coming apart. the hot glue idea is a good one.. Just don't glue the pins, only the shells.

Agree with the above posts, but I would make a short extension for the connector and glue one end into the display. This way you can still unplug the camera and remove the monitor if needed. Also, I would make sure to put some dielectric grease on the pins before I glued the extension.

Try using heat shrink tubing over the connectors. Works very well.

When I made a doorbell into a bicycle bell decades ago, I fastened the wires with Electrical tape to keep them together.
