2004 Allure # 31057 Air Bags Info Needed

Coach is begin to drop on the front passenger side. Tried to squirt soapy substance on air lines and the bag's themselves. Has not been working very well. Also, trying to stick a plastic hose/tube next to my ear and tracing lines and surface of air bag not working well either. Is there a better way to find air line or air bag leaks?

I think it may be time to just begin replacing the air bags.

I think my front axle is Neway ADL-120. The air spring # referenced in CC Owner's Guide is part # 34022-10. Does anyone know what the Firestone or Goodyear Part numbers might be? Any recommendations on where to purchase or have bags installed? Is the job doable by a super handyman/junior mechanic if proper jacks are present. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

John

Jim, I am also replacing all of my air bags on my Allure. I have seen very few 470 Allure's out there that have quad slides and a Sunset Bay interior and are 37', so I'm very interested if you have air bag P/N's. I asked Kevin from Premier RV and he gave me P/Ns, but the W01-358-8195 (front) is not available. The Driver W01-358-9275 part number he gave me has the correct bellows P/N 1T15V-8, but the bead plate on my coach only has one "combo" stud instead of two shown for the 9275. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

You guys need to contact Gregg Bootes at Oregon Motor Coach. 800-942-6860 greggb@oregonmotorcoachcenter.com

I am replacing air springs on my 33' Allure and could not find the front ones. I was there last week and Gregg without hesitation stated the part number and pulled two off the shelf for me. He said Neway quit building the IFS suspension a couple years ago so Firestone quit making springs for them. They have been using Automann brand and my part number was a AB1DK23H-7667 which crosses back to a Firestone number W01-358-7667. This is probably different than your larger CC's but he will have the parts you need.

I have the Firestone Airbag Resource book but it is to large to attach in this forum. Their web site has lots of information https://www.firestoneip.com/products...ide/#learnmore

Here is a pic of the nameplate of my new spring.

Hope this helps

I have not yet installed the air springs but I purchased SAF Holland G2297667200 Air Bag from ANYTHING TRUCK.COM. They cross referenced to the Holland/Neway # 90557256-114. I hope they are the right bag. Not sure about the bead plate. Maybe you guys can look on-line at the bag and see if you think it will work. Appreciate any insight.

I looked up your part number in the firestone resource book and it is the same as what Oregon Motor Coach said was the correct bag for Allure's. It crosses to a Firestone W01-358-7667 and the Automann AB1DK23H-7667

W01-358-8195 or 7667 replacement update

Update: Here's what I observed in comparing the original W01-358-7667 specs, and the replacement -8195 which is now also obsolete, with the Automann AB1DK23H-7667. The min and max heights are different (Google AB1DK23H-7667 or see attached image). The min distance sets the coach wheel to chassis clearance if the coach "bottoms out". Bag diameter is also different. The top and bottom mounting are the same pattern, so it will probably fit, but the different bag dimensions could cause chassis interference if there is not enough clearance around the bag, and may give a difference ride. I did review the Firestone resource book and looked at all the configurations that use the 1t15m2 and then picked the ones that had the same top seal plate, and bottom piston mount. I found the W01-358-8203 came the closest. The top studs are a little longer, but my coach has plenty of clearance for that. So is seems the -8203 is the winner. I reached out to both Gregg at OMC and Kevin at Premier for their input. I didn't hear back from Gregg yet, but Kevin took it to his tech guys and they also recommended the -8203. Let me know what you guys think.

I am going to use the W01-358-9275 for the DRIVER axle, and the W01-358-9459 for the TAG. I'm not replacing the Tag Raise W01-359-6932 since it is in good shape.

Do you air spring experts think the air bags I purchased will fit properly? Below is the spec info from the AnythingTruck.com website:

Product Description
Manufacturer: SAF Holland/Contitech
Part Number: G2297667200
Top Plate Diameter: 9"
Top Plate Stud Spacing: 5-1/2"
Piston Diameter: 9-1/2"
Piston Height: 5"
Collapsed Height: 7-1/4"
Cross References: G2297667200, 370-G2297667200, 90557256, 370-90557256

Are you guys planning to change them out yourselves or go to a shop?

Thanks in advance for review and input.

There seems to be a lot of unknown part numbers/applications for replacement air springs. I was relying on the knowledge of Gregg Bootes who provided the air spring Oregon Motor Coach has used for Allure models. The Firestone resource book has lots of information and dimensions but not a definitive, this part fits this coach.

I am doing the replacement myself but, its been cold here is central Washington since I got home from Junction City. Its warming up now so I can heat my shop and get the rig up on blocks, one end/corner at a time.

I'll take some pics along the way and put them in here.
