2006 Magna fiberglass roof detached from underlayment

I've been look at CCs in the 2005-08 era. I've notice the fiberglass on the roof is usually not glued down to the plywood below. If you walk on it, it will move about a 1/8 down as you step. The roof is solid underneath, but the glass is just not attached. Is this normal?

Secondly, I just looked at one recently where the glass was badly warped over the whole roof. It pushed up probably 3 inches or more. These 3 inch waves were over the entire surface. Has anyone ever dealt with this?

Are these roofs not glued down? Or is the glue just bad so they are all loose?

So anyone have any experience of the roof becoming wavy?

Mine is "wavy". In some areas it will probably move a couple of inches. As said, the fiberglass is not glues to the underlying structure, it floats and is secured around the parameter

I would take your question to the Premier RV Services team. The service folks deal with these coaches all the time. On our '09 Affinity (the same as the Magnas), I don't see the roof floating as you described it.

Ours 95 Magna roof was still happily floating at 29 years of age.

I have a 2006 Intrigue, and it is also a floater, and I have had no issue with it. I've been told this is normal on CC.

I did end up talking to Premier. They stated that the roof does float, so a very small amount of movement is normal. They also stated the roof is 1/4 thick molded fiberglass, so it would not be readily replaced or repaired. They were very surprised to hear about this, and have never seen this happen. Again, I believe it was because the roof got so dirty that is absorbed more heat than a white roof would have.
I guess this is also maybe a word of warning to keep your roof fairly clean. It is also possible that the metal canopy it was stored under trapped heat - the end was closed off, so if the sun beat down on the canopy, it could trap a lot of heat like an attic. Not sure of the root cause, but it seems like this is very unusual, and not something I would have to be concerned could happen under common circumstances.

OK, so now I'm curious, are the roofs/end caps made different between the Intrigue and above compared to the roof of and Allure and below? I've seen adds for Allures where it looks like the front cap is continuous, but the rear cap has a seam in the roof line. Does this mean the fiberglass is laminated on the Allure and below, and molded in on the Intrigue and above?
