97 Allure - Water Connections & Overflow Issues

Howdy,

I'm hoping this is an easy one for someone. 1997 Allure. Fairly new owner so still trying to figure out the subtle nuisances.

I'm having water issues.

1) When I have a full fresh water tank, I can hear my pump running but I'm getting no to little water pressure. Just slowly trickles out of the faucets. Worked fine last trip out.

2) So I then hooked up the hose to shore line pressured fresh water, the water appears to be running directly into the fresh water tank. So when it turn it on, water runs out of the overflow port (next to inlet for filling the fresh water tank). Of course, my fresh water tank is full so it immediately overflows.

One other thing, I lend my RV to a friend two weeks ago. The fresh water tank was empty as shore line water was available. Upon pick-up, I noticed that water was overflowing from a hose located near the center of the undercarriage.

Is there a valve somewhere that I'm missing? Seems I should be able to bypass the fresh hold tank and pressure my water system within the coach.

I have a '98 Allure, so we may have similar systems. There is a diverter valve handle in your water bay near the sewer dump. When this valve handle is turned open, the shore line water supply is diverted to your fresh water tank. It should be closed if you want to use shore line supply water and not tank water via the pump.

The pump issue may be a result of the above condition, or it sounds like either your pump is failing or your friend left an outlet valve open, thus preventing the pump from applying full line pressure to the water system. Check both the inside shower and outside showers to ensure that the hot/cold controls are both off. Sometimes users turn off the water at the shower nozzle end and not the main valve. This causes problems.
