Adjust ride height valves

I’m in need of info and this is a go to place.
I have an 98 Allure and need to adjust the ride height. I replaced the front ride height valve and have it adjusted it fairly close (8” from bottom of frame rail to bottom of airbag plate), to where it’s needed until I can adjust the rear.
My manual says 5 inches, a DynoMax leaflet, I have, says 7 1/2 inches for the rear measuring from the bottom of frame rail to a weld in the center of the rear axle. Problem is, using the 8 in. measurement my airbag is completely deflated and I know that’s not correct.
Can anyone give my the correct way to obtain my ride height?
Thanks,
Roy Smith
