Air Bag Leveling

I have a 1995 Country Coach Magna 36Ft. I recently had the air bags replaced and the wrong ones were installed on the rear. The new bags are not large enough to level the coach. The coach has the HWH park and level system that levels off the air bags. The company that installed the bags is aware they installed the wrong bags but has not been any help in determining the correct size of the replacements. Is there anyone out there that has a coach of this vintage or has knowledge regarding airbags. Any help will be appreciated. My cell phone is 432-934-6343.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Wish I could help. Our coach has the HWH air leveling but I don't know anything about the bags. Can't you get that info from HWH? Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Hi Joe,
My first question is it a Gillig Chassis? If it is or isn't get a hold of the chassis manuf. and get the part number for your air bags. If its a Gillig I can get you the phone number first of next week. Its to a parts guy there that will give you the correct numbers. Then take those numbers and shop around the internet. Gillig wants crazy prices for their parts.
Best, Don

This may be too late but I have heard that CC used different air bags at different times. And that you have to remove the old air bag; get the part number off it and order it that way. Do you have one of the old ones? You could try texting or calling Kevin Waite: 541-953-6162. He is located near the former CC factory and used to work there.

Call Gillig as others have suggested. Bo is the tech but you will likely end up talking with John Edmondson Jr. (John Edmondson Sr. works there as well) who now handles all the motorhomes. Call between 5:30am-2:30pm PDT. Gillig will give you only the Gillig part number if they have it in stock. If they don’t have the part in stock they will give you the manufacturers part number. I replaced all four of my air springs and ordered directly from Gillig. In the case of my Concept the front springs were $200 each and the rears were $280 each.

Mornin' All,
Thanks for all the great info. A build sheet could be useful. Im in the process of taking the front air bags out...just to get a part number! I found on the rear bags, that the price is almost triple through Gillig. Once I get the number I will post for all to see.
Thanks again Guys, Don

Air Bag Leveling

Thanks for all of the information I received regarding my air bags. They are replaced and working as they should. The advice I received proved invaluable.
