Air Conditioner replacement

I have a 2001 Intrugue. I am looking into replacing my 13.5K A/C with heat pumps (630515.321) units with 15K with heat pump in front and 13.5K with heat pump in rear. What have you replaced these old units with? Model numbers would help. Thanks.

I have the same model A/C units that are still working and I see no reason to replace them. In fact, I just treated them to new shrouds this week because I lost one in a high wind area.
You won't gain much by going from a 13.5 to a 15, especially considering the cost.

I installed a 15 btu Penguin Heat pump Model #651916CXX1JO in the salon
in 2015.

Cost was $899 in an Ebay Auction purchase and delivered to my home.

I also installed a new single control Wall Control unit @ $50.

The rear OEM AC unit is still working at 26 years of age. We run it for white noise at night whether or not we need air conditioning. So it sees a fair amount of use.

The 15btu provides some additional cooling but also seems to create a bit more noise in the salon.

Installed it myself and received the longer warranty from Dometic. (now expired).

So much depends on where a person travels, and the color of their coach, on whether or not moving to 15K is a good investment. Our previous 40, 2 slide, 04 Allure, was a combo of beige and maroon. Maybe a 75% beige to 25% maroon, + or - 10%! We traveled yearly in the Southwest, with temps up above 110F from time to time. We found that even with windscreen outside cover, solar skylight also covered, cushions in our two fantastic fans, and closing of shades on the sun side of the coach - out X's 2 15K Penguin's worked hard in temps above 100-105F.

So to us, having 15K's was a benefit!

Best to all,
Smitty
