Allure 470 entry steps dont...
Stopped going in yesterday. Determined they will work with door half open. more investigation it is clearly a broken wire(s) in the harness. This Am pulled all apart and wiggling the harness produced clean and easy motion. now however , all power to door is dead, including entry light. Previous owner had done poor job of repair on this harness. So i cleaned it up and new solder and shrink tube. However cannot trace the cable after it enters the door jamb, where does it go??? Also all diagram fuses for door and steps check ok, but light and steps and door lock remain all dead. Another fuse somewhere?? Anybody totally replace this harness cable from coach to door?

I don’t have an Allure but on our CC if you open the front generator slide you can remove a plastic cover to access the wiring that goes into the door frame.

The wires have a terminal board in the door and then go thru the door to connect to loose wires basically under the dash. Open generator slide and on the passenger side look up and you will see where the wires are connected.
There are a few of us that have had this problem. The harness controls the steps, the light in steps, door/bay locks and compass outside temp gauge on dash.
Ended up getting wiring harness from Kevin with wiring diagram and replaced the harness thru the door. Added a spring inside the door to pull the loose wire back when closing door.
The wiring diagram from Kevin really doesn't work as CC had so many different configurations. Try to check each wire before cutting them out. Very hard to find a bundle of 10 wires in one protected cable. Kevin ended up with the only viable option.

Yep. that is correct, above generator on passenger side behind nose. Thanks all for reply. I have power and ground, horn works as does fob and remote locks. So, just a few wires left to ohm out but it is awkward due to distance. Will get it handled Wednesday i think. The cable has 11 wires I recall , with at least one unused. As stated, 12 conductor is hard to get , but I have 6 conductor and may use two to replace all of the wiring. My diagram is somewhat accurate but numbers called out on wires are wrong in many cases, but color codes are also indicated.... no so bad . CC was bad for using a cable with all black wires however, have only seen that before on early low grade China stuff.

I repaired my harness - 2007 Allure. Each black wire is numbered in the harness on the individual wire sheathing. Mine was faint grey lettering on black sheathing.
Regarding step - it is a single wire that simply grounds out when door plunger opens. My wire broke sheathing at door jam opening and intermittently shorted to ground causing steps to extend while traveling. I pulled in back into door - had sufficient slack in nose cap.

One issue with repairing the wires is that the harness needs to be able to move freely in the door jamb or you will be back to the same problem.
Kevin has a harness that is a little smaller and moves in the grommet in the door jam without any issues.
Just my 2 cents.

Well, still no joy on this , a day and a half. I now have good continuity , checked by meter, and out of circuit, , on all ten wires through the door. But, i have no power on chassis at pin 1. Power does come on when ign is turned on, but there needs to be 12v chassis when off. All fuses in fuse blocks pertaining to this are known good and verified, I am suspecting a hidden in line fuse somewhere. Entry light is also not on , again confirming no power. The fact this light is off, tells me that teh step controller and associated wiring, which remains undisturbed, is all fine. Trimark controller /key fob is also dead, and the pin on that input is also no voltage. Since fuses are good , i am now studying diagrams in detail , but it is slow going. All other house functions are fine.

I know when working on mine I tripped fuse/breaker ( not sure) which was in the cabinet with the inverter on the left wall. It feeds power to many of the things. I don't have anything with me and my coach is remote.
They have 4 or 5 breakers/fuses on that side. It's the on in the middle of your slide compartment.
Good luck I maybe going to coach tomorrow morning. I f you need help let me know.

Correct. Alarm, domestic disconnect, audio (radio) have separate water tight blade fuse holders in my battery/inverter bay.
Pointing at alarm 7.5A alarm fuse.

I know this is an old thread, but it helped me find the alarm power fuse. But now I have another dilemma. All the wires going through the door grommet were broken. I have traced all but two of the 8 down (i.e. pwr, grd, ign pwr, etc). My interface terminal board in the door has 8 terminals. I'm not sure if I have the same configuration as you but I was wondering if you have a schematic of the wiring going into the coach so I can match up wires going to the TriMark module.
It's nice to see other folks who have the Allure 37' Sunset Bay. Mine is a 2005. #31161

Good info from Turbine above. Here is my 2007 Allure Trimark drawing. It is dated May 9 2006.

Great TriMark wiring diagrams
You guys are awesome!! Thank you very much for taking the time to get me the info!!
- Here's what I discovered on my coach: The wiring has been modified from the original diagrams that you sent me, but I was able to use your diagrams to figure out the functions of each C4 and C5 input/outputs and adapt them to what my coach now has. For example: The door switch wires that used to go to the entry door step control are no longer used; my coach has been modified to use a magnetic switch. And, I do not have cargo bay actuators, but I do have pin switches. Using your diagrams, I was able to identify which wires coming from the chassis I needed (i.e. 12v power; ignition power; ground; cargo pin switches; and siren) I am not going to use the headlight, parking light, dome light, or aux features at this time.
Again, thank you so much! You guys rock!
Side question: Is there anywhere that the wiring diagrams for Country Coaches have been archived? I have diagrams that cover about 70% of the coach, but there are a lot missing. I have pieced together some diagrams by asking on these forums (like TriMark diagrams and VIP Smart Wheel diagrams) but when Country Coach was bought out, where did the engineering data go? Does anyone know if it is still around and available?
Again, thank you guys so much for sharing your information you have! It has saved me a lot of time and effort trying to reverse engineer my coach. I hope as I get to know my coach better and do more repairs and projects that I will be able to help you guys out.
