Awning center support.

I sure am glad I found this site. I was wondering , on a 40 foot with a long main awning... front support arm in front of door on out Intregue. I am guessing a 16'??? is there supposed to be a center support to help with long span?

My Zip Dee 22' awning has never had or needed a center support.

thanks. I have not seen one in the basement anywhere or seen a place it would go but seems like a LONG span to not have one. I guess its a higher quality unit than I was aware of

Mine does not have a center support either. In case you don't know, don't ever leave the RV or go to bed and leave the awning down. Sudden wind or rain storm comes up, it will destroy it before you can blink!

No center support. The Zip Dee awning is pretty much bullet proof.
Another tip; when rolling the awning up at night, make sure you latch it. I didn't one night and the storm unrolled the awning completely and then slammed it back against the coach. Wound up with a 1 foot bow in the roller but if you follow the Zip Dee instructions, you can straighten it out. Not easy but it can be done.
