Basement Door Repair

We have a 2003 CC Intrigue 42'. The storage Basement door is starting to delaminate. When I tried to remove the strut to investigate the core of the door panel started to fall out of the skin/shell. Any help?

Can you post some pictures?

My '02 Winnie basement doors are held together with 10's of steel rivets. It would be highly unlikely for several of them to fail so that the foam insulation between layers would peak out. So I'm curious how your's are made.

Then I'd mention that if your's isn't repairable, there are over 3000 RV salvage yards and you might be able to find a replacement at one of them: RV Salvage Yards...

On my '08 Allure one door was coming unglued.
There are two rivets up top then the rest of the skin is held with adhesive. After some debate on perhaps using epoxy, I used 3M trim/moulding tape, super sticky 1/2" wide two sided 1/16" think foam tape. Still holding strong for over a year now.

Yes, the4 later CC used a glued up assembly style. I have friend that damaged one over a bump stop. Removed, worked ov the aluminum skin, repaint, all is well. The 3m exterior industrial double sticky tape will work well, as will some urethane glues. (messy)

Hmmm,

That link you provided about 175 sources in the US and many were not salvage yards but RV parts and service stores. I recognized several.

3000 RV salvage yards?

When I first copied that link almost a decade ago, the author claimed that it was 3,000 salvage yards as I recall. At that time, it appeared so, though I didn't count nor did I check more then a few on the first few pages.

So, don't believe everything I say these days. That's the new rule.

Here's another link: Salvage Yards
