Bay Door Gas Shock Brackets

Hello,

I recently purchased a 2000 CC Integra 40'. I'm working on bay door gas shocks and found two of the brackets that attach the bay door to the gas shock need to be replaced. I have not been able to find these same brackets online. Would like to know if anyone has found a source for this part or a good alternate. Attaching a link to picture of original bracket (I hope).

Thanks

Looks good to me, if in doubt just call them and ask. Good luck

A good welding shop can fix them up to be just like new. I would take them off and find a good shop to fix them.

Those brackets were made by a machine shop on Old River Road, in Eugene. Don't remember the name but I could drive you there.
Might remember the name tonite in my dreams

This would be my solution also. I have never seen a bracket like that so finding one may be a bigger issue than getting that one fixed. Good luck.

Put a call into Kevin Waite

When I fitted rams / handle & catches to our previously 'bolted shut' plumbing bay door (the water heater side) - Kevin supplied me the brackets (2 bay door and 2 pillar) - to match those on the other bay doors of our 2005 Allure which appear identical / very similar to yours in the picture

(Suggest sending him a picture to ensure you get the correct 'handed' bracket)

Bay Door Gas Shock Brackets

Thanks for all the replies.

deandec: I have not found any brackets online, including at the link you suggested, that are like the ones that came on the coach. They are all much smaller and I don't think they would last very long considering the weight of the bay doors.

A welding shop may be the final solution. Thanks for the suggestion.

IanSmith: how would I contact Kevin Waite?

Kevin phone number 541-953-6162. I have a similar issue on my coach with the same bracket, mine have not cracked but they bend. I have welded a "doubler plate" to prevent and strengthen them.

If you can't find them you might diy. I added a gas shock to each door to balance out the weight with my home made bracket, 3" x 3" x 3/16" right angle aluminum structural. They work :-)

Bay Door Gas Shock Brackets

Ozzsp250, thanks for Kevin's contact info.

TN Bill, thanks for the link. Great site!

CountryFit, great idea-I like your solution. I'll have to make a trip to HD and see if I can find some aluminum angle stock.

My brackets kept bending. I finally took them all to a welding shop and had them add this extra support. No problems since.Click image for larger version
