Bish's RV Park Junction, City OR

It has been decided by management to close the park effective March 1, 2022. I would suggest everyone call and tell them, it is a terrible idea. I have been staying at this park along with a large number of people who enjoyed stating there.

One motivator to close is governments viewing rvs as mobile homes and thus requiring park owners to operate under strict tenant laws . With the covid eviction regulations put in place you can find yourself in a position of giving free multi year stays. Not sure about oregon specificly but thats whats happening in washington. We just had a large KOA shut down. I speak from experience as i have a rv park in seattle. Over the last 2 years i have not let anyone stay and have been reducing the number of tenants slowly. I have reduced about half with the goal of getting everyone out when the restrictions end. I will then repurpose the site. I dont see this when i am traveling other states.

Living in an rv is cheap living. Buy a cheap trailer and park in an rv park for $5-700 bucks a month is way cheaper that an apartment.

The COVID restrictions made it impossible to evict those in parks so the the only way is to get rid of them is to shut the park down

In Seattle, I have enjoyed staying at Lake Pleasant and its seems like they want permanent residents. They limited RV's to 14 days. I do not see Covid being a problem at Bish, we where there last year for a couple of months, They did not have any permeant homes. The did have problems with managing sites. So just go and screw people that bought RV's in Junction City and live in them full time.

All of the prior comments make good sense, but my guess is Bish's just doesn't see running an RV park as being part of their core sales and service business. Per their website (see https://www.guaranty.com/rv-park/), they still intend to use the park space and infrastructure; it'll be interesting to see how that works out.
