We own a 40 ft Intrigue 03 model and we are looking at an 06 Allure but it has the C9 cat both are 400hp rated. I have heard some bad things about this cat . Any input from the Country Coach gurus ?

I haven't had a single problem with my Cat 9 400hp. It runs like a top and pulls strongly. I can cruise easily at 75MPH if I cared to with the H3 in tow.
Just keep the fuel filters changed and you'll be good.

I have the Cat C9 400 and have zero issues. The problems that I heard come from the 425 HP C9.

My C9 performs very well with no problems. My only dislike in no real Jake Break, exaust brake only which doesen't hep mine much.

My C-9 runs great, the only problem is my oil pressure is to high on a cold start (125lbs) so I plug it in for hour and if the weather is cold out 2 hours. Next oil change may go from 15w40 to 5w40. By plugging it in I get the pressure under 100lbs, this is from my Silverleaf.
I change my oil at 5k or one a year because of the HUIE pump and fuel filters at 10k and use only Advanced Efficiency filters and send my oil samples into Peterson Cat.
