CAT Scale Axle Weights

I have stated that my tag is not carrying enough weight. Let me explain. the rear end of the bus bounces as on a light washboard when you hit a bump at 75. I don't travel at 75 but going down hill you hate to apply the brakes because of the coming up hill. Here are the axle weights for my bus.
steer 13,180
drive 16,080
tag 7,700
total 36,960

What are your's?

Bouncing is usually a sign of bad shocks. When, or how old are the shocks? When were they last inspected for leaks?

All of the shock have just been replaced.
I took the tag tires off and chained up the axles. Road tested and NO bounce. I then took the tag wheels and put them on the outer drive axles again with the tags chained up and still NO bounce. It is not the tires. next i put the outer drivers on the tags and now I have bounce. That is why i thought the tag is inducing the bounce because of too little load on it.
What are your weights?

I used to have a tag on a charter bus back in the 80s but not today.
But here is some info from what I have read about them.

They do two things, first carry weight to keep the rear from being over weight, second they can to a degree cause an adjustment to the front axle because as the carry more weight they push down on the front, the pivot point moves backwards.

Get your specs on leveling the coach, If you hit the marks then you should hit the sweet spot designed by the manufacture.

There is also a chance that the suspension is loose causing the bounce. Worn out bushing will do that.
