Combo Splendide Fill Valves Bad

I have a 98 CC Allure and have been filling the Splendide Combo unit with water, and the shutoff valves were both closed. Even flooded the bedroom 2x not knowing it contained water and opened the door - oh brother! Just pulled the whole combo unit out and definitely getting water from both disconnected hoses when turning on the water pump, in either valves turned closed or open.

Anyone have both valves go bad like this? I blow out all lines to winterize.

Had a valve like those go bad in a house, couldn't shut it off. Nothing serious, just replace the valves.

I'd recommend a ball valve instead of the gate valve now installed. Easy repair, parts at any "big box" home improvement store.

Excellent point about ball valves, and exactly what I did last night. I was surprised they used gate valves for the water supply.

Now just troubleshooting Splendide problems - doesn't seem to run consistently. Can't get it to spin the washer drum in the wash cycle, but it does spin in dryer mode. I've had these problems intermittently, so I'm thinking it's a bad module board.

Strongly recommend calling Splendide. They were great and right on point for our issue. Turned out to be the door latch. Not a fun piece to replace. Parts as quick as you want them. Of course if not that bad "O" word.(obsolete ) Takes the guess work out of trouble shooting.

I did all the troubleshooting I could last night. Called Splendide technical service today and told them EXACTLY what the unit WAS and WAS NOT doing. With that information, the technician surmised it could be a bad door switch and told me how to use a 15 amp ATC fuse as a jumper. Tried that and everything works as it should. Those folks are indeed worth a call.
