I recently had Source Engineering install their hydraulic fan control in place of the electronic control. It controls the variable fan very smoothly and it is very quiet compared to the original controller. It greatly reduced the fan robbing horsepower from the engine and it feels like I gained 30-40 extra horsepower plus improved fuel economy. It is the best money I have spent on my coach!
Any questions, call Jim at Source Engineering in Veneta, OR (just outside Junction City) phone 541-343-0293

My fan controller also went out so I went down to Junction City to Source Engineering and had the wax valve installed. The only down side is you need to have your AC off at startup because of the head pressure, this is what I was told.
If you do go with a wax valve I would change out the t/stats, there are 2 and my small one was broken, only 28k miles

I put in a new electronic controller and it broke somewhere between AZ and Alaska, about 5K miles. On the way back Bob Vincent installed a wax kit. 25K miles later, still working fine. I should have gotten my money back on the electronic controller.
