If you look at my posts, I had to upgrade my camera and monitor on my 2000 allure. I bought my package at rear view cams, used the same wire and was all to use the rear camera mount by accessing it from inside the coach.

Do you know how they connected to the turn signals to activate the cameras? Just a simple splice?

I am not certain, but I think that is all it takes. A wire is spliced into each signal circuit and that activates the camera when signal is switched on.

So the display head sticks out a bit from the dash

I imagine they used the existing hole the old unit was in
I like it..Vicki wanted a larger display..so will discuss
Thanks

This is the largest display that would fit and not interfere with anything else.

I can still read the Silverleaf pretty easy (my Silverleaf display has seen better days)

The body does go into the original single din hole that the Panosonic radio used without any modifications. I have not driven the Coach after dark yet, but everything is easy to read in the daylight and the sound is very nice using the original surround sound speakers in the coach.

I am very happy with the unit so far and the new cameras are great! I can see better in the cameras than I can in the mirrors.

I installed a Pioneer AVH-33000NEX Work and looks like the old unit. The Geek squad at Best Buy installed it. There was nothing complicated for them to do. Had to buy an electronic switch off amazon to get the back up camera to work when I went into reverse. (I forgot the name, but it's for vehicles with air brakes.) The rear camera still need to be replaced, but on my coach it's a eight pin plug and I have not found one to fit without modifying the camera to that type of a plug. Also, I don't know if I should buy a camera in a mount or by itself and attempt to put it in the original mount. If anybody found a camera in mount the is comparable, let me know. I'm sure I can wire the connector based from the "old" plug to make it work and Dremel the "old" camera out. Thoughts.

I purchased an INTEC camera and monitor they were the OEM from that era. No manufactures use them anymore too expensive, they build systems for critical fail safe environments. Replaced camera it was plug and play. Monitor needs to have several wires spliced with butt connectors pretty simple.
