The only thing that is tied to the manufacturer (CC or WRV) is the coach body and the frame....unless you have a crash, there is nothing that can not be repaired or worked on by any RV shop.

I have had no problems getting repair done on my Alpine (Engine, chassis, appliance, coach)

Either is a good choice......As Goodman and Old Scout said, try them both overnight, and get the one you like best....

Country Coach was one of the finest available. But... They are no more and even the factory has been completely sold off. All parts, everything, gone.

My two cents worth, briefly. I had a new 2006 Alpine APEX, which I was very glad to trade straight across for a 2001 Country Coach Affinity, after only one year. Granted the Alpine drove very nice, as does my CC, but I had way too many problems with the Alpine on a daily basis.

There are many Country Coach techs. around that can work on the coach, Alpine only had one tech that knew anything when they were still in business.

I know there are many happy Alpine owners out there, but I was never one of them.

Alpine VS Country Coach

Our two finalists when we were looking at motor homes a year ago were a 2004 40' Alpine and a 2002 Country Coach Affinity. We ended up with the Affinity. I would have been very happy with either. The Alpine did drive just a bit easier than the Affinity, but maybe we are talking about on a scale of 1 -100 the Alpine was 98 and the Affinity was 97. Back in the years when these two were made and the ones you are looking at the big three high end motor homes were County Coach, Alpine, and Monaco. Foretravel was there too at a bit higher price and dowdier looking. (Please no hate mail from Foretravel owners) IMHO the quality of materials on the Country Coach line is higher than Alpine. The things like hinges on the basement storage, slide mechanisms, and so on were just better. Our Affinity is just gorgeous. There was no high end Alpine in it's category. Our paint is 8 years old and looks like new. We have a semi custom interior and so on.

I still think highly of both Country Coach and Alpine. It is certainly true though that Country Coach owners seem to write in more positive ways about their repair experience than Alpine owners.

To the Winnebago supporters. I have never been in a Winnebago that was as nice (And I was just in the 2011 models in Redmond Or) inside as either my Country Coach or the 2004 Alpine. This is not in any way to disparage Winnebago which is one of the World's best makers of motor homes. But I have to tell you that when we were looking used we could not find one we liked anywhere near as well as the CC's or Alpine. As far as your attempts to disparage Alpine and Country Coach. In no way did Packard closing, Duesenburg, Pierce Arrow, or Auburn make any of the cars they made less valid classics or reduce their value. Motor homes are made out of bought parts. They are not like cars. I have had no issue what so ever getting parts for my motor home. And I have to laugh at the comment about GMC. Seems like they went bankrupt last year. And as a matter of fact before my Country Coach I owned a GMC motor home. GMC had stopped selling parts for mine years before but I had no issues getting parts or repairs.

I have learned from past experience that having repairs done at the dealer location is not always top notch work. There are many fine rv repair services that do better work than dealer service so I am not worried about getting repairs on the CC. In fact I find the forum is definitely a place to ask current owners of where to go in the event I need work on the CC.

I have a 2001 alpine with an ISC 350 hp. My radiator fan is runing full blast constantly and I'm hoping a new Sauer Sunstrand thermostatic valve will fix the problem. I'm presently at Coach Care in Spokane and they can't seem to locate any parts as Sauer Sunstrand is out of business. Does anyone have an idea where I might find a new wax valve? Thanks in advance. Hax
