Dash Air Refrigerant Capacity

Does anyone know the refrigerant capacity for a 2000 36' intrigue? I am not finding any capacity listing in the coach manuals. I have found the refrigerant capacity sticker in the engine compartment, but over the years it has been rendered unreadable by repeated cleaning of the engine compartment. Thanks in advance.

Hi Rick,

Here's a cut and paste from CC about my inquiry.

Hi Bill,

Thank you for the inquiry. The 36' Intrigue takes 5 lbs of R134a Freon and 9.5 ounces of the SP 20 oil. I hope that helps. Please let us know if you need additional assistance. Thanks again

Best Regards,

Rick are you planning on evacuating and charging the system yourself? If so then controls on coldest temp, fan on high, fresh air door open and charge to a clear sight glass. You should be good to go....

I own a set of gauges from HF.....

But, I find the borrowed ones from Auto Zone to be better quality and do not take up storage space..

From my experience if you need to to do a complete charge rather then top it off its best too pull a vacuum then weigh in the correct char,ge this way you will be right on the money no guessing if you are under or over,

Absolutely pull a vacuum, long and deep. You can weigh it in but if you don't have the equipment a full sight glass is OK. Be sure to put the engine at 1000 rpm to keep the compressor moving at a constant speed.

Good luck...
