Daytime Driving Lights

I own a 02 Allure 36'. My coach has daytime driving lights that come on when the key is turned on to Acc or Run. Anybody found a way to disconnect and just use the headlight switch located at the switches? Only reason I ask is last year I pulled into a RV park late at night (I know that is a sin but I did it) and my replacement LED headlights were so bright it seemed like the gates of heaven opened up as I pulled in. I had no way to turn them down or off while trying to find my spot and get set up. Thanks in advance.

Toeknee414;

Welcome to the forum..

I'll assume this is a Ford F53 chassis built in 2001... I had the same problem with my 2001 Mirada. I installed a switch and relay so I could shut them off..

Arrive in the daylight, and you wont need to shut off the headlights. Setting up camp in the dark sucks anyway.

That’s a great idea. However the other party we were traveling with had a fuel pump issue that set us back about 6 hours at the Cummins repair shop.

Some people like winniman don't experience set backs when traveling.

I know with some Chevy trucks, you could engage the emergency brake pedal down 1 click and the DRL's would go off. Worth a try!

Thanks for the info. However this is a diesel pusher on a Dynamax chassis with air brakes. Also the DRL’s stay on as long as the key is in any position other than off. I was just hoping someone in the Country Coach forum has dealt with this and may know where the module would be to disconnect.

I only wish this were true. I just don't arrive late often enough to feel the need to disable my running lights. And it does suck trying to set up after dark. In summer its not dark until nine thirty or ten. Getting kind of late for arrivals anyway.

It is a DynoMax chassis. Dynamax is something entirely different
