Door handle

My inside front door handle was loosely attached with sheet metal screws when I bought the coach about 2 years ago. Attached are two pictures of the door and handle. It looks like the screws would attach to a pre drilled metal bracket inside the door, that seems to be stripped on the inside. I just don't want to drill in there and make it worse, and so far have not been able to figure out how to securely re-attach it.

You may be able to use Rivet Nuts. This would give you normal threads in sheet metal.

The tools and nuts can be sourced from multiple vendors/locations.

Here are a couple of examples.

Tool Type 1: https://www.amazon.com/Astro-Pneumat...omotive&sr=1-8
Tool Type 2: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TODXQW...8-40141185bdad

Door handle

Had the same issue, used the next bigger tread size and after 3 years still good. I love this cc forum, have a 2008 Allure 470 and have learned and benefited from this forum.

Thin sheet metal the screws go into.
Easy fix , next larger size screw.
Nut inserts is a great option as mentioned, but have to pull the panel off.
